Who would want my hair?
I would. With both hands raised. Every. Single. Day.
I can say with my whole chest that I absolutely love my natural hair.
Looking back, I have no regrets and choosing to go natural was the best decision I could have made.
Choosing to embrace my natural hair was not a single decision, but a process of unlearning and shifting my mindset.

Gentle Whispers in My Hair: My Hair Story
I want young Black girls to grow up knowing their hair is beautiful
Healthy hair shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be your norm
From that day on the ideas and inspiration began to flood in
I had to reclaim something. And so, I turned my attention to the one part of me I had never truly owned: my hair.
Your hair is not a problem to solve. It’s a crown to wear.
I have found that black women’s hair is so versatile that it has produced many images and styles aligned to my personality.
Over time, I became an advocate for my curls, not only for myself but for others too
I also started to appreciate my natural hair – understanding the trauma I was carrying from the processes used to control my hair.
As I grew older, the pressure to conform only intensified
Like many Black women, I internalized the idea that straight, sleek hair was the standard of beauty
The vision I had for a full head of healthy natural hair was motivating!
